a. A member should have a post-graduate degree in any of the following scientific disciplines:
 
i Mathematical Sciences
ii Physics
iii Chemical Sciences
iv Technical & Engineering Sciences
v Earth Sciences
vi Plant Sciences
vii Animal Sciences
viii Medical & Allied Sciences
 
 
 
 
ix Biomedical & Allied Sciences
x Agriculture & Allied Sciences

Persons with a Bachelor Degree in professional sciences, such as Medicine, Engineering, Veterinary & Agriculture having teaching, field of research experiences for at least three years can be members Both (a) and (b) categories of members as above should ordinarily be resident of Orissa.
2. Life Member
  Members can become life members by contributing the subscription fixed for the membership.
3. Procedure for Admittance of Members
 

For admissions as members, persons concerned should submit applications duly proposed and seconded by bonafide members of the Academy and enclosing a recent passport size photograph. The Executive Council will admit members on adhoc basis on receipt of the membership fee. Such membership will have to be finally approved by the General Body.
4. Fees for Membership
 
a.

Subscription for life membership: Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand) only.

b.

All Local Cheque/Draft may be drawn in favor of Secretary, Orissa Bigyan Academy, Bhubaneswar.
